Contact Admin. We found this caves on Tripadvisor but found it difficult to find out any other information. This is because the caves are part of an amusement park, so you must search Park Ledenika for details. However, don't be put off by the title 'amusement park' as it is an educational parkland with information on wildlife, displays of statues and is a very attractive area.
The drive to the caves is along a badly maintained almost alpine road and it is important that you follow the signs with the bug on it rather than just to Ledenika as the area is referred to as Ledenika. Even if you do get lost, the scenery is so spectacular that it hardly matters. The place is on a quite place up in the mountain.
The road views are similar to those on the Swiss Alps although the pavement is bad and full of holes. There is enough space to relax surrounded by the nature. Cost only 6 leva one hours tour in the cave. My husband make jokes because cave's name, there is not such much ice as is expected from name.. Be aware of road to cave is not well maintained, and if you want to visit it you must go by car.
There is no public transport, wich is quite pity. In Front of cave is children playground and huge lawn. There are aweso place to park, restaurant and hotel. In summer there you can ride a horse if you want to give a try: It is nice and peaceful place.
Is a cheap and easy way to pass the time should you have an hour to kill. If you get a guide that can translate all the better. The cave is extremely old and quite a masterpiece really. An interesting piece of natural history. Went there in December. It is very hard to find the location on line. It is very well signposted. Although it is only 15km from Vratsa it is a good 30 minutes drive as it is up a very steep mountain.
